HEF: How long have you been involved in fitness?
AD: I've been competing for two years now. However, I have been involved in competitive athletics since the age of 6 including soccer, football, track and swimming.
HEF: What is your greatest fitness accomplishment?
AD: Turning pro at the USA championships in 1999. It was my first year competing and my first time at a national championship. I was thrilled to place second in the tall divsion and win a pro card.
HEF: What is your ultimate fitness goal?
AD: I would love to compete at the Fitness Olympia - however, my fitness goals are to enjoy the experience, be healthy and hopefully to be a role model to other women. I work a full time desk job at an office (Criminal defense attorney) and I frequently hear from other women that they do not have the time to be fit or eat healthy. Hopefully, I can motivate others that it is possible to work 9-5 at an office and still live a healthy lifestyle.
HEF: Who was/is your fitness inspiration?
AD: I have so many! So many of the pros in fitness are great motivators. Carol Semple-Marzetta inspires me to work harder on my routines, Mary Yockey inspires me with her physique and ability to work while competing at a high level, Monica Brant inspired me with her wonerful personality, positive outlook on fitness and that you can be a competitive fitness pro without having an extensive gymnastics background. Every time I compete, I am inspired by the other competitors. Everone I have encounters in the IFBB has been nice and encouraging. Each competitor has a unique challenge that they had to overcome in order to compete and its that overcoming of challenges which provides the most inspiration for me.
HEF: What is your favorite binge-out treat?
AD: Pizza for dinner and cinnamon roll french toast for breakfast.
