    One Leg Dumbbell Calf RaiseOne Leg Dumbbell Calf Raise: Begin by sitting at the edge of a flat bench with the ball of your right foot on a block of wood or a step. Place a dumbbell on your thighs and hold it in place and drop your right heel as far below your toes as possible. Keeping your left foot back, slowly rise as high as you can onto your right toes until your calves are fully flexed. Contract your calf muscles and then slowly reverse direction, returning to the starting position. After performing the desired number of repetitions, repeat the process on your left.
